Holidays.

You need a break to recharge your batteries. They're important to relax the body and mind and to come away with new ideas for lessons and organisation.

But these holidays are unpaid! Yes, while teachers in the French education system get 16 weeks paid holiday, I get 8 weeks a year.

Some grumpy people will say that 16 weeks is a lot! Believe me, teachers' nerves are severely tested, and these weeks are necessary.

I don't need 2 months of summer, I think that's too much, but 1 week here and there is necessary. So how do I manage my turnover? I anticipate when I'll be able to work more hours and I know there'll be a break. That's just the way the business is. You have to move forward and trust.

But I know I have to stop, and that's important!

During the holidays, some of my customers prefer to take a break, while others use the time to take intensive courses.

I sometimes organise workshops during the holidays. The aim is to please people, but also to please myself! I love Christmas and Halloween.
