What services can I offer you?

One-to-one English lessons in conversation and, above all, fun activities in English for children from the age of 3 up to adults. Refresher courses for adults who need English for professional or personal purposes.

Grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation are learnt in context. Listening comprehension and reading comprehension are worked on using official websites, podcasts, magazines, online newspapers, netflix and youtube. Oral expression is fun and focuses on your interests and work.

There is also a strong emphasis on role-playing. Preparation for TOEIC, baccalauréat and Cambridge exams is also possible.

I offer regular courses and workshops on a variety of topics, such as improving pronunciation, learning English with the series, revising grammatical tenses and being at ease in English abroad. I run English conversation classes in groups. I design and run English language training courses for professionals and English courses at university and IUT.

These lessons take place via Skype, Whatsapp , Zoom or face-to-face in the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region. I will send you targeted exercises according to your needs between each lesson to help you stay motivated and make progress. A level certificate will also be sent to you (based on the CEFR criteria) with the objectives for reaching the next level.

Why use my services?

English is the language of international communication in many fields. I have many adults who contact me to make up for their lack of English at work. Adults also contact me because they travel a lot and need English when they go abroad.

It is therefore essential to master this language. I'm a hands-on teacher with 15 years' experience of teaching English. I have taught all types of students. I have a bachelor's degree in English and a master's degree in teaching English. I obtained the CAPES in 2012. I am fully bilingual.

I teach according to your needs and I try to develop new techniques to make my lessons attractive by using a variety of fun materials: skits, use of songs, YouTube videos, Netflix extracts. Fun and practical English are at the heart of my teaching. For example, if we're studying food vocabulary, I'll ask you to make me a list of everything you've got in the fridge, what you've eaten in the week, and we'll study menus from English-language restaurants and talk about culinary recipes.

I regularly update myself on new exams and teaching methods. I talk to you about your work and your immediate environment.

My lessons are prepared and adapted to your level. If you need to go from a B2 to a C1 level, we will work on more complex grammar in context through multiple tasks as well as vocabulary and more idiomatic expressions. The assignments I give you for the next lessons are always targeted to your areas for improvement. I use the CEFR to establish a target for progress. Your level will be reviewed regularly.

In a world that is increasingly open to the outside world, companies are increasingly demanding a fluent level of English. English has therefore become a must. Outside the workplace, being able to understand programmes, films, series and documentaries in English is a huge advantage. Most texts are now written in English, and having access to the original text means you can better grasp the original meaning. There are a huge number of scientific texts in English that have led to major technical innovations.

Where will the courses take place, how often and at what price?

The courses take place online, on Skype or at home. If you choose the Skype option, I can see how to find me in the Skype search bar and we use google drive and its great sharing tools. Google doc is an online word processing service that you can edit collaboratively - it's like a whiteboard.

The frequency of lessons depends on your needs and our respective availability over the weeks.

What is my methodology?

It all depends on your objective!

For the children, the parents want them to improve their speaking skills. So I get the children to talk about their daily lives and their interests. If you're preparing for an exam, we'll do some cramming, I'll give advice and explanations and remind you of the rules. And if you want to improve your professional skills, I'll help you talk about your work and improve your oral comprehension. Finally, if you'd like to improve your language skills for travel, we'll do role-playing abroad, listen to audio and video clips and play lots of games.

My method is really fun and practical. Learning makes sense.
