What services can I offer you?

One-to-one English lessons in conversation and, above all, fun activities in English for children from the age of 6 through to teenagers. Refresher courses for adults who need English for professional or personal purposes.

Grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation are learnt in context. Listening comprehension and reading comprehension are worked on using official websites and podcasts. Oral expression is fun and focused on your interests and work.

There is also a strong emphasis on role-playing. Preparation for the TOEIC exams, the baccalauréat and the Cambridge tests: here, it is essentially a question of cramming and explanations in context, in-depth revision of grammar points and advice on how to continue working outside the classroom.

Why use my services?

English is the language of international communication in many fields. I have many adults who contact me to make up for their lack of English at work. Adults also contact me because they travel a lot and need English when they go abroad.

It is therefore essential to master this language. I'm a hands-on teacher with 15 years' experience of teaching English. I have taught all types of students. I have a bachelor's degree in English and a master's degree in teaching English. I obtained the CAPES in 2012. I am fully bilingual.

I teach according to your needs and I try to develop new techniques to make my lessons attractive by using a variety of fun materials: skits, use of songs, YouTube videos, Netflix extracts. Fun and practical English are at the heart of my teaching. For example, if we're studying food vocabulary, I'll ask you to make me a list of everything you've got in the fridge, what you've eaten in the week, and we'll study menus from English-language restaurants and talk about culinary recipes.

I regularly update myself on new exams and teaching methods. I talk to you about your work and your immediate environment.

My lessons are prepared and adapted to your level. If you need to go from a B2 to a C1 level, we will work on more complex grammar in context through multiple tasks as well as vocabulary and more idiomatic expressions. The assignments I give you for the next lessons are always targeted to your areas for improvement. I use the CEFR to establish a target for progress. Your level will be reviewed regularly.

Where will the courses take place, how often and at what price?

The courses take place online, on Skype or at home. If you choose the Skype option, I can see how to find me in the Skype search bar and we use google drive and its great sharing tools. Google doc is an online word processing service that you can edit collaboratively - it's like a whiteboard.

The frequency of lessons depends on your needs and our respective availability over the weeks.

There are no registration fees. My prices: €20 per hour if you live in Calais or the surrounding area. 17€ for a 30-minute lesson if you live elsewhere in France (online lessons). English days: 40€ per day. Online workshops: 5€/h. Workshops at home: 10€/h.

What is my methodology?

It all depends on your objective!

For the children, the parents want them to improve their speaking skills. So I get the children to talk about their daily lives and their interests. If you're preparing for an exam, we'll do some cramming, I'll give advice and explanations and remind you of the rules. And if you want to improve your professional skills, I'll help you talk about your work and improve your oral comprehension. Finally, if you'd like to improve your language skills for travel, we'll do role-playing abroad, listen to audio and video clips and play lots of games.

My method is really fun and practical. Learning makes sense.
